The youngest of three, Stephen did most of his growing up in the Northeast. He is the son of an English Teacher and a Minister, the brother of David Graybill, an award winning professional Swing Dancer (among other things), and Elizabeth Graybill, a lawyer in New York City.
His professional history begins in the world of theater, but he has extended his range of performance into Film and Television, and Voice Overs. As well, he is getting more involved in many different areas, including producing and writing; and is dabbling in the world of music.
As an actor, Stephen has a continually expanding resume, which you can download here. He has studied Shakespeare, contemporary Theater and Film, and Improv extensively in America and abroad at places such as: The British Drama Academy at Oxford University in Oxford, England; The Upright Citizens Brigade; The Actors Center in New York City; Ithaca College; Ithaca College in London, England; The Shakespeare Theater in Washington, DC; as well as The University of Connecticut, where he received his undergraduate degree.
As a voice over artist, Stephen is currently the voice of Vaseline Lotion's national ad campaign. As well, he was the Voice of Jose Cuervo's Medallion Black ad campaign. And he also worked with Foglight Entertainment on the ad campaign for Loinsgate's recent film, The Bank Job. He always has other projects on the horizon, so to stay updated, sign up for his newsletter, and view all of his clips here
Outside of performance, Stephen is in the middle of writing two screenplays, as well as helping to get another produced.
Stephen is currently the Associate Artistic Director at Studio 42 in New York City. Having been off the radar for a couple years, they are relaunching the company this year with a series of events. The beginning of which was their Studio Sessions: March Reading Series at Playwright's Horizon's. There are many other events coming up this year, including another Series called "Unproducibles" to hopefully launch in July. In the world of music, Stephen has played acoustic guitar for over a decade. He is influenced by an amalgam of artists from genres that range from Rock, to Blues, to African, and many others. Recently he opened for Roberta Flack at One Degree of Separation's inaugural benefit concert in Manhattan. And last year he performed at The Sundance Film Festival for Amstel Light's Legacy Lounge event in Park City, Utah.
Currently, Stephen calls the East Village of New York City home, but finds himself traveling between Los Angeles and New York City quite often.
