Stephen Graybill

The youngest of three, Stephen did most of his growing up in the Northeast. He is the son of an English Teacher and a Minister, the brother of David Graybill, an award winning professional Swing Dancer (among other things), and Elizabeth Graybill, a lawyer in New York City.

His professional history begins in the world of theater, but he has extended his range of performance into film, television, voice overs, and music. As well, he is always taking risks and getting more involved in many different areas, including producing and writing.

He has performed around town in Shanghai Moon (Drama Dept), And The Earth Moved (Primary Stages), The Most Tragical and Lamentable Historie of The Barber-Surgeons (Studio 42), Air Guitar (NY Fringe Festival), Emerald Man (NYMF and Grey Lady Ent.); Regionally: The Persians, Don Juan, Comedy of Errors, Othello all at The Shakespeare Theater DC; Boys Next Door (CT Rep - Connecticut Critics Circle Performance Award), The Tempest (Shakespeare on the Sound), and My Soul is a Witness (JENA Company). FILM & TV: The Wire, As the World Turns, All My Children, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Six Degrees, The System (BRAVO) and many independent films. He has studied Shakespeare, contemporary Theater and Film, and Improv extensively in America and abroad at places such as: The British Drama Academy at Oxford University in Oxford, England; The Upright Citizens Brigade; The Actors Center in New York City; Ithaca College; Ithaca College in London, England; The Shakespeare Theater in Washington, DC; as well as The University of Connecticut, where he received his undergraduate degree..

As a voice over artist, Stephen is currently the voice of Vaseline Lotion's national ad campaign. He has also worked on other projects and new business pitch's for products like Align, Buitoni, Cannes, Chevy Chase Bank, Citibank, Dell, GM, Hilton, Progressive, Sanofi Aventis, Tropicana, UBS, Vicks, The Wall Street Journal, as well as other books on tape.

As a musician, Stephen has played acoustic guitar for over a decade. His open ear and rhythmic styling have been influenced by almost every genre of music. He has a unique ability to mix rock, folk, and blues together in one cohesive blend of sound and technique. With a rich vocal gravity and unique cadence, his music captivates your toes rhythmic soul, and makes you wonder what he's gonna do next. In his younger school days, Stephen found himself reaching top honors in various vocal competitions all over the country. However, when he picked up his first guitar, he quickly realized there was more to music than just his voice. Since beginning to write his own songs, he has opened for Roberta Flack at One Degree of Separation's inaugural benefit concert in Manhattan, he has performed at The Sundance Film Festival for Amstel Light's Legacy Lounge event in Park City, Utah, he performend in The BE Company's production of Facets: Seven Short Ways of Being, and he continues to play live in and around New York City. Earlier this year, Stephen recorded an EP of his songs, which you can hear on his music page, and purchase on iTunes. As a producer, he worked on the short films Oliver and Still Waters Run Deep with The BE Company, and his most recent endeavour, 4 Dates, which he produced with F*IT Club Productions is currently touring the Film Festival scene. As well, he has co-written a new short called Self Serve with his writing partner Erin Gann which is slated for production in January 2011, he is developing his first feature with a well known New York City writer, and is in the development stages with a few other unnamed projects. He is currently producing On The Hook with Topher Mikels and the same team that brought Across The Hall with Brittany Murphy to theaters, under his newly formed production shingle The Grove Productions.

Stephen lives in the East Village.
